Check for Proper Ring End Gap
Normally new rings will be fine , but just to be sure.
Failure to ensure proper ring end gap may cause engine damage
Your looking to have a minimum clearance so the rings ends are not touching
Check the end gap by placing the ring into the cylinder
Use the piston to square up the ring in the bore
Check the end gap by using a feeler gage.
Your basic rule is 0.004" per I.0" of bore diameter
Honda 88cc Spec:
0.008"/0.2mm for top ring.
0.010"/0.254"mm for second ring
0.008"/0.2mm for oil rings
