Top to bottom
1. Top ring is the Compression Ring (usually shiny side) "will have a Dot or letter" stamped on it (faces up)
2. Middle Ring is the oil scraper (Thick black) "will have a Dot or letter" stamped on it (faces up)
3. (3) Oil rings actually 2 thin and 1 ridged (wavy)
Bottom to Top
1 - expander ring - (wavy one) - lower groove
2 - lower oil ring - below above ring in lower groove
3 - upper oil ring - above expander ring in lower groove
4 - install the black one in the center groove
5 - Install the silver one in the top groove (markings on ring should face up)
END GAPS:
Set top ring gap 180 deg at the wrist pin , then evenly spaced at one third intervals
*Make sure the end gaps of the piston ring are not aligned with one another -evenly space apart or will smoke
