I got this engine installed in a 2005 Honda Rebel that originally had a E-start 50cc, 3spd. I had to cut my exhaust mounting flange of metal to line up the holes, due to this being a larger motor by a few centimeters. Anyway! My review, yes... Maybe just because this is my first motorcycle restoration project and the first I have experienced aside from riding a suzuki 50 jr when I was a child, this motor has some incredible power, first gear is little bit of movement, but when you get into second gear, it really starts pulling, that is for sure! I had too much fun with it, chain slipped off when I was tearing up some grass in my yard, it ruptured the stator cover and destroyed my magneto pickup. I need a new stator now, it is okay. I know this time to be more careful by tightening up my bolts on the swing arm. Overall, great engine for starters.
Also note, the 1-down 3-up, if you want from first gear to neutral, pull up a little bit until you feel a little click. Pulling up on it all of the way skips neutral and puts you in second gear = stall if you let the clutch out when you're wanting to park.
